Sandra and I made a quick trip up to New England last week to eat lobsters and see the fall foliage (and drive my friend's car back to Florida for him)

We went to visit Salem while were up there. (I thought it was a novel idea, but I guess everyone in the world goes to Salem during Halloween-time...what a mob!)
Check out the breathtaking fall foliage! There's no place like New England in the fall!!

I hope everyone's enjoying the last days of summer. It won't be too long before all you snowbirds are back, and I can't wait!! It's been so quiet here. ..I've kept busy playing at American Legions, VFWs, Moose Lodges and Elks Lodges around Tampa Bay, but the crowds are just not there this summer. I'm sure gas prices are a big problem as well as the tough drinking and driving laws. I'm really looking forward to playing at your mobile home parks and condos this season where you don't have to worry about these problems! ...just eat, drink and be merry!..then simply walk (or crawl) home! If you want to confirm a date, just click on "calendar" and look for your date to see if it's posted. If it's not, call me (727-527-8559) or e-mail me and I'll make sure it gets put on.
Enjoy the rest of the summer and have a safe trip back here.

Well, we fly back to Tampa tomorrow after 3 wonderful weeks in New England. I left here 30 years ago and have been all over the world, but I've never seen anything as beautiful as this place! My home now is in Florida, but my heart will always be here in New England!
See you all real soon.

The site of the first settlement on the island in 1625.

We went to my grandaughter Ashlee's softball game last night. (They lost, but she hit a double!)

The "Greasy Pole"...my favorite event at the St. Peter's Fiesta, the object being to walk the pole and grab the flag at the end before slipping off and killing yourself!!

We had a great time at the St. Peter's Fiesta, despite the foggy, drizzly weather.

Gloucester High School

I'm sure you've all heard about the pregnancy pact at my high school on the news lately. If you haven't, turn on CNN...that's all they're talking about! I graduated from here in 1967.

We are the Champions!!
My grandson's team, the Danvers Marlins, wins the Little League championship!!
