Sandra and I will be driving up to Washington, D.C. on Christmas day and will return early on New Year's Eve morning (hopefully!...if the weather cooperates!). Saturday Afternoons at the American Legion - Clearwater
Well, it looks like I'm gonna be at the American Legion every Saturday...indefinitly! Let's just say Norm, the commander, "made me an offer I couldn't refuse". Here's some pictures of my first Saturday back (December 1st).

Sandra and I are "gettin' outta Dodge" for a few days November 20th and 21st (the Monday and Tuesday before Thanksgiving). We'll be back to have dinner with the family on "Turkey Day". Then, it's...back to work: I'll be playing at The Shangri-La Mobile Home Park on the 23rd for a "50's Sock Hop".

New Year's Eve
As you can see, I'm going to be at the American Legion for New Year's Eve. Just like in the past, they've made a seating chart of the layout of the room for that night. For tickets, your best bet is to go there in person...they go on sale Nov. 1st...and pick out your seats. But HURRY! They'll go fast! Hope to see you there!

Ok...I know it's been a little confussing, but I think we've got the dates straight for Saturday afternoons at the Dunedin Elks Lodge: Oct. 20, Nov. 10, Nov. 17, Nov. 24. Due to all the Christmas parties, travel plans and everyone being busy with shopping, etc., I won't be there at all on Saturday afternoons for the whole month of December. As soon as I know the Saturdays I will be there after the first of the year, I'll let you know. Also, next Saturday I'll be there in the afternoon (from 12:30 til 3:30) and in the evening (from 6:30 til 10:30) for the Ladies Auxiliary's Octoberfest. Tonight: American Legion in Tampa

Tonight (Friday), I'm at the American Legion in Tampa (Post 139). It's real easy to find, for you Pinellas residents: Just go over the Gandy Bridge to Tampa and turn left (north) on Dale Mabry. At the next light, turn left and, about a block in, you'll see the Legion on your left. It's a real friendly place with a good size dance floor. I play from 7 'til 10 pm. Hope to see you there!

Last night at Post 275

I played at the American Legion (Post 275) in Dunedin last night. It sure was warm in there, but according to the "regulars", every time they serve a meal, the kitchen really heats up the place. But what a meal it was! Chicken Marsala...my favorite! I wish I hadn't have been so full from a late lunch with my wife, Sandra, or I would have ordered it myself. But, according to all those who did, it was wonderful, and well worth the $5 bucks!
Had a visit from the girls from Seapoint Cruises. They were there promoting their upcoming cruise for Post 275 in October. Sue mentioned they only have a few cabins left, so if you'd like to join them, give Seapoint a call...soon! (727)321-8750. It sounds like it could be a lot of fun... there sure is some fun-loving people who hang out there! I'm looking forward to playing there again soon.( As of right now, I'm not scheduled to play there, but Carolyn promised she'd call me soon and, maybe, book me there once or twice before the start of the winter season.)

I'm off for a few days, but I'll be back to the NEW Dunedin Elks on Wedsnesday from 6-9 pm. (I'll be there every Weds. night for all of August and Sept.) See you there!

The NEW Dunedin Elks Lodge

Here's some more pictures taken at the new Elks Lodge. I'm going to be performing there every Wednesday night (6-9 pm) during the months of August and September.

Starting October 6th, I'll be there every Saturday afternoon (12:30 - 3:30 pm) during the winter season (through May). Don't forget...you must be a member (or guests of a member) to come in. For information about becoming a member, see the link (in the right-hand column).

Finally, we're in the new building! I was the very first entertainer to perform there on 1 August, 2007, and I'll be there every Wednesday from 6-9 pm for the all of August and September.
Stop by and see me and our new building but , don't forget, you MUST be a member! If you're not a member...why not? I just joined myself...it makes things so much simpler, and it's only $50.00. Have you bought a drink or a meal out on the beach in one of the tourist traps lately? Why not belong to great organization where you can bring your friends for cocktails, a nice meal, and dance to the best music in town (played by the best entertainer in town!) all for a very reasonable price.
